Petz pop-in: Instagram vs virtual reality

I've been seeing a few dalmatian posts on social media recently that made me think of Petz. I've always loved the idea of having a dalmatian in rl, but I'm actually a bit allergic to dogs and so it probably wouldn't be wise (I'm still waiting on Jeff Goldblum from the 2001 film Cats and Dogs to hurry up with the antidote!). Petz, to my knowledge, is allergen free and so I found myself returning to my virtual dalmatians, having not opened the game in a couple of years.
Equinox

I had fun going through my folders and reuniting with favourites. I found some surprises too - when I added Hadairo and Haiiro to my Adopted Petz folder, I rediscovered their dalmatian puppy, Equinox. Equinox was actually born in 2023 and has been frozen in time until now. I've kept this little family in the folder to let Equinox grow naturally - I've enjoyed watching Hadairo and Haiiro fussing over their pup (and each other). I've been following a dalmatian litter on social, so this is as close as I can get to the real thing. Hey, I'll take it.

Spezi
I also saw a post online about a tri-colour dalmatian who was stunning. I don't think I can share the specific photos here because they aren't mine, but if you search I'm sure you can find what I'm on about. I was immediately inspired to try and recreate this look in petz:

And introducing Spezi! Spezi is named after a dirty soda (mixing different types together) mixture of cola and orange soda (I haven't tried this myself!) that I felt suited his spot colour mix. He is another pup of Hadairo and Haiiro that I have brexed. Here's the before and after:

I used a combination of Petz Workshop and LNZ Pro, and am pleased with the result especially as it's been a long while since I've done any editing. If you've made a tri-colour dalmatian, I would love to see!
Extraz
So yes, social media may make me jealous and aware of my dalmatian-less ness in rl, however, the possibilities of Petz provides a fruitful, virtual alternative!
Thank you for reading - make sure to check out what's new at the Brewery and pick up this sweet Spezi stamp if you wish.
